Controlling hydrocarbon dew point and water dew point of natural gas using Aspen HYSYS

Abstract A great attention is subjected to the environmentally friendly natural gas. Compared other fossil fuels, gas a cleaner burning due lower emission of carbon dioxides into air. Removal associated hydrocarbons from streams plays an important role sell and achieve pipeline specification To satisfy pipelines, hydrocarbon dew point water must be controlled below operating conditions prevent many problems: two-phase flow hydrate formation in system. The main purpose this paper simulate plant process study effect composition changing differential pressure Joule–Thomson expansion valve on obtained values hydrocarbon, points, cricondentherm temperature. results simulation using Aspen HYSYS have shown that control point, achieved through increasing Joule-Thomson pressure. There inverse relation between (∆p) meet transmission. Increasing 14 bar 24 causes decrease −1 −26°C 0 −18°C, respectively. Cricondentherm also decreased 4 −12°C by bars. at not advisable because temperature does transmission hence lead problems.
